Our Goal

Our people are our greatest strength. Without a broad base of talented people, we cannot continue to deliver exceptional results. Our goals are to attract, hire, train and retain the most talented people. By valuing our more than 5,500 employees, supporting their ability to work effectively together and providing them with the tools they need to succeed, we are ensuring that PepsiCo Canada is the kind of company where talented people of all backgrounds want to work.

We continue to foster an inclusive environment where individuals feel they can bring their whole self to work, and that all their contributions and past experiences are valued.

We leverage the reach of our employee base and continue to encourage our employees across the country to participate in community service and inclusion activities, which are designed not only to positively impact the communities we serve, but to drive our employees to be leaders in social responsibility.

We take a holistic approach to sustaining our talent by initiating programs that include:

  • A strong commitment to diversity.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits.
  • Strong health and safety programs.
  • Our SharePower program which provides stock options to eligible associates around the world and encourages them to act as owners of the Company.
  • Opportunities for career growth and development through core people processes.
  • Lifestyle and personal development opportunities, including job training programs.
  • Robust programs to measure employee satisfaction and award achievement.
  • Support the work life quality of our employees.

Supporting Our Communities

PepsiCo Canada employs over 5,500 Canadians who are united in our commitment to supporting the communities where we live and operate. We achieve this through national charitable partnerships, employee volunteerism and philanthropy.

Our national community strategy focuses on three areas: building strong communities, nourishing Canadians and preserving the environment. Our national charitable partners include the United Way, Food Banks Canada, The Weekend to End Breast Cancer, and ONEXONE. We also partner with local charitable organizations in PepsiCo Canada communities for our annual National Volunteer Week employee campaign.

PepsiCo Canada's Charitable Foundation, The Pepsi Foundation, raises and distributes funds to support underprivileged children and youth with their health and wellbeing. Its donations help support organizations such as the YMCA, ONEXONE and Youth in Motion.

Canadian registered charities, non-profit organizations and community groups seeking information about partnerships and donations can find more information here.

Expanding Opportunities Through Diversity and Inclusion

At PepsiCo Canada we believe that an inclusive culture that recognizes and values the unique attributes and experiences of every employee is critical to the sustainable growth of our business. That's why Diversity & Inclusion is a strategic priority for us.

Our Diversity & Inclusion strategy is based on valuing all individual differences; including those that are visible and invisible, such as backgrounds, work styles, thought processes and experiences. Our mission is to build a culture that enables people and business results where:

  • Individuals feel they can bring their whole self to work while knowing their contributions and past experiences are valued;
  • Employees are engaged and inspired to drive business results;
  • We attract and retain the best talent, and
  • Our workforce reflects the diversity of our communities.
Our employees play an important role in building a culture of inclusion at PepsiCo Canada by participating in our Employee Networks or Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Council.

Employee Networks are employee-led groups typically formed around a common characteristic of diversity and are open to all who want to participate. They support the Diversity and Inclusion strategy by acting as a resource for:

  • Personal and professional development.
  • Informal mentoring, coaching, and networking.
  • Enhancing the organization's ability to recruit and retain talent.
  • Recommending potential program, policy, and cultural changes to support the organization's inclusion strategy.
Our employees have the opportunity to join existing Employee Networks which include the Women's Network and the Asian Network, in addition to a number of global PepsiCo, Inc. employee networks.

The Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Council is comprised of employees across divisions and functions, who each bring a distinct perspective to the group. This team has a mandate to Influence, Provide Guidance and Support PepsiCo Canada's Diversity and Inclusion commitment.

Employee Learning and Development

Increasing the skills of our employees is crucial for business success in a competitive global economy. With the launch of PepsiCo University, we are helping associates develop the job-related skills needed to drive innovation and growth for the future. PepsiCo University offers learning solutions focused on building people skills, managerial skills, and cultural awareness.

Providing a Safe and Healthy Work Environment

The health and safety of our employees is of utmost importance. That's why PepsiCo Canada is committed to providing the work systems necessary for employees to carry out their work safely as well as meeting and, where appropriate, exceeding applicable Canadian health and safety laws and regulations.

PepsiCo, Inc.'s Human Rights Workplace Policy ensures a work environment that is free from all forms of discrimination where people feel comfortable and respected. In 2008, we translated this policy into 20 languages and broadly communicated it as part of our Code of Conduct Training, a leading edge process that ensures our businesses are operating in the most ethical way possible.
